The planned decriminalisation of abortion in Queensland will most likely be a copy of the legislation that was passed in Victoria. In Victoria it is now legal to have an abortion at any time up to and including part way through birth.
Doctors and other medical staff also lost their right to conscientious objection when it comes to abortion.
Doctors, in particular, can be de-registered for refusing to refer for abortion. As medical registration is now nationwide for doctors, this would represent an end to their career.
And do Victorians even know what is now legal (and happening) in their state?
